The first of these drawers was designed to replace another drawer set which was moved to elsewhere in the kitchen (Brick-built worktop). It was tall and narrow - around 150mm wide - to fit into the new space created between the fridge and the rest of the kitchen counter. It was designed for spices and other condiments.

The second drawer was to fit in an equally narrow gap beside the Aga to hold baking trays and other kitchen items. It was tricky to fit in the runners in such a confined space but a right angle drill/driver made it possible.

Both drawers were made from American maple with some walnut detail and were finished in Osmo Oil​
